Did you know crafts and hobbies are a thirty billion dollar industry in the United States? Crocheting alone accounts for about $1 billion of that. Here are some more facts you may not know about our favorite yarny pastime!

At least some Susan Bates hooks are manufactured in Mexico, and Clover hooks hail from Japan. Looking for an American-made hook? You may have to go upscale or to smaller, handmade varieties. Check out Brittany hooks (made in California), Twin Birch Products (from North Carolina), or Denise interchangable hooks (from Virginia) if you’re seeking American-made tools.
