This lightweight scarf allows for year-round hipster cred without added bulk. It’s great for outdoor concerts, strolls in the park, or even reading in your favorite coffee shop. The lace-like pattern allows it to work up quickly.

Materials:
- I Love This Yarn [100% Acrylic, 355yd/324m per 7oz/198g skein]; Pale Denim; less than 1 skein
- J/10 (6.00mm size) hook
- Tapestry needle
Gauge: Gauge is not significant in this design.
Directions
Row 1: Ch 17. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 2, turn. (15 st)
Row 2: Hdc in each st across, ch 2, turn. (15 st)
Row 3: Hdc in next 4 sts, *ch 1, sk next st, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * 3 more times, hdc in next 3 sts, ch 2, turn.
Row 4: Hdc in next 4 sts, *ch 1, sk ch space, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * 3 more times, hdc in next 3 sts, ch 2, turn.
Repeat Row 4 until 1 inch from desired length.
Finishing rows:
Row 1: Hdc in next 4 sts, *hdc in ch sp, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * 3 more times, hdc in next 3 sts, ch 2, turn. (15 st)
Row 2: Hdc in each st across, finish off. Weave in ends.
About the Designer
Christine Henley enjoys baking and crocheting, but finds that yarn contains less calories and allergens. She has a stash of yarns from all over the world, all of which she will use for a project “one day.” In the meantime, she enjoys shopping at her local craft stores, and making crochet gifts for friends.
