A vintage-styled faux headwrap adds a bit of old-fashioned charm to your look. It’s perfect for anyone who doesn’t feel like fiddling with something you actually have to tie.
Difficulty: Easy
Sizes: One size (adult) – 20″ circumference
Materials:
- TLC Cotton Plus [51% Cotton, 49% Acrylic, 178yd/163m per 3.5oz/100g skein] color: Spruce (50 yds)
- I/9 (5.50 mm) hook
- Yarn Needle
Gauge: 11 sts/16 rows = 4″ in sc rib
Directions:
Wrap
Rnd 1: Ch 55 (or number required to encircle head), join with sl st to first chain to form loop. Ch 1, sc in each ch around, join rnd. (55 sc) Turn.
Rnds 2-10: Ch 1; working in BLO, sc in each st around. Join rnd. (55 sc) Turn.
Finish off.
Tie
Row 1: Ch 29. Sk 1, sc in each ch across. (28 sc) Turn.
Row 2: Sl st in each of the first 3 sts, sc in each of the next 3 sts, hdc in each of the next 3 sts, dc in each of the next 10 sts, hdc in each of the next 3 sts, sc in each of the next 3 sts, sl st in last 3 sts. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Finish off.
To finish, weave in all ends and tie Tie in knot around Wrap. Enjoy!
