Chunky, quick, and cozy, it doesn’t get more classic than a thick ribbed scarf. ‘Big Red’ could easily be made with any combination of hook and yarn and, obviously, in any color – but I’m partial to the chunky red version.
Difficulty: Beginner
Sizes: As written, measures approx. 60″ long x 6″ wide
Materials:
- Lion Brand Hometown USA [100% Acrylic, 81yds/74m per 5oz/142g skein] – Cincinnati Red, 2 skeins
- P (11.50mm) hook
- Yarn Needle
Gauge: gauge is not significant in this design.
Directions:
Row 1: Ch 101 (or 60″), sk 1 ch, sc in each ch across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1. Working in BLO, sc in each st across. Turn.
Repeat row 2 until width measures between 5 and 6 inches. Finish off, weave in ends.
