The Pearl-bordered Fritillary is a butterfly whose orange wings are adorned with black spots and rows of pearly markings along the edges. The delicate lace and iridescent beads of this triangular shawl capture the spirit of a Fritillary butterfly’s wingspread. As fall sets in, carry this reminder of summer on your shoulders for a bit of warmth on chilly evenings.

Beautiful!
Beautiful and the pattern appears to be so well written. Thanks!
Thank for sharing your pattern, it is lovely!!
Thank you for the lovely pattern. Any tips for working in this weight yarn?
Really lovely, Aparna! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern with us at no cost! <3 <3 <3
This shawl is gorgeous! Thank you for the pattern, I can’t wait to try it out!
I am unfortunately completely confused, starting with row 3, on this pattern! I’ve tried interpreting it a couple of different ways, and each time it’s coming out uneven. I tried to “work through” to the next row, to see if I can figure it out, but it just ends up more confusing. Is it just me?? I’m afraid I may be interpreting the brackets and parentheses incorrectly… 🙁
I faced with the same problem. ;(
Aparna,
Do you have diagram? Pls send it to me or share with us. Thx.
please send me this beautiful shawl diagram plllllllllllllllssssssssssss
Hi! This is a weird question, I know… but can you recommend any yarns for this pattern that are NOT animal based? I’m allergic to all animal fibers.
Thanks!
The first one that came to mind was “Bamboo” or “Rayon”, both are plant based.
The only problem I can think of is the yarn may have a little too much drape, more so the rayon v. the bamboo as it is generally a heavier yarn than bamboo.
But I think either one would make this pattern beautifully.
Hope this helps! 🙂
I would like to know what program you use to do your crochet diagrams? They are very nice. Thank you.
